About Jonathan
Growing up on the Jersey Shore, I spent a lot of time outdoors; and as a Boy Scout, observed how polluted the environment had become. I was compelled to help make a change through various community clean-up projects. Through the integration of challenging coursework, collaborative projects, and professional experiences, I have obtained theoretical and applied engineering skills that I intend to continue to develop. Using these skills, I plan to help make the world we live in more green, sustainable, and efficient.
“For me, I am driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you”- Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. This sentiment strongly resonates with me, as I have used it as a guide for my educational and professional decisions. By combining my passion for environmentalism with my love for engineering, I graduated in 2018 with a mechanical engineering degree from Rutgers University with a focus in energy systems. I hope to utilize my background to support the evolution of the energy industry.
